RF Online’s Resource (Mining) System

Mining activities in RF Online are usually for upgrade, or creating new items throguh obtaning the Holystone (Ore). The obtained Ores can be upgraded (by paying a fee) or be sold through merchants that deal with mined resources.

HOW DO YOU MINE FOR RESOURCES

All three races in RF Online (Bellato, Cora, Accretia) can mine without any limitation on their skills. If a user wishes to mine for resources, all they need to do is to acquire “Mining Tools” and “Battery”. These items can be bought through merchants that deal with mined resources.

UNMANNED MINING TOOLS

Unmanned mining tools are estabilished systems when the user can mine for resources without actually mining themselves. If you are busy hunting for level ups, try to take advantages of the Unmanned Mining Tools.

USING the UNMANNED MINING TOOLS

The beginning and the end of the Unmanned mining tools are related to the mined resources merchants NPC. Also this activity requires a payment of a standard fee.

01 | ESTABLISHING THE USER’S INVENTORY

The user should set up a [Unmanned tool inventory] through the mined resources merchants, It will cost 250 gold to establish the inventory, and the inventory can hold 40 slots. The mined resources from Unmanned tool will be automatically stored in the inventory.

02 | SETTING UP the UNMANNED MINING TOOL

After buying the Unmanned mining tool and battery from the cash shop, the user can perform mining activities by directing the Unmanned Mining Tool to the mining fields (by right click the UMT)

Unmanned Mining Tools have these kind of characteristics

• only one Unmanned Mining Tool can be set up
• Unmanned Mining Tool will perform slower than using a normal mining tool
• Unmanned Mining Tool have HPs, hence it is suspectible to incur damage from enemy attacks
• When the Unmanned Mining Tool’s HP goes down to 0, the tool will be destroyed and mining stopped.

03 | START MINING

When users approach near their Unmanned mining tool, the Unmanned mining tool’s interface will automatically activate. The Unmanned mining tool will start operating one the battery is placed in the empty slot in the interface. When retrieving the mined resourced, the icon that indicates the user’s Unmanned Mining Tool will be blurry compared to other icons in the inventory. The battery will deteriorate as the Unmanned Mining Tool starts mining for resources.

04 | CONFIRMING the ORE

The Unmanned tool inventory, which is placed in the menu of the mined resources merchant’s NPC, will confirm all the Ores that have been retrieved by the Unmanned Mining Tool. From there a user can move all the Ores to his/her own personal inventory.

TAKE A MOMENT! some quick tips
The unmanned mining tool inventory only has 40 slots; hence the user should constantly remove the retrieved Ore to his/her personal inventory for more effective mining.

WHERE DO I START MINING?

After winning of Chip Wars, the powerless Holystone Keeper has been guarded by the race who win the chip war and HolyStone Keeper has guarding the center of Crag Mine. Winner race can mining at the center of crag mine, and the Holystone keeper will be only friendly to them and kill other race.

LETS GO MINING!

After equipping the mining tools from the user’s inventory, the mining interface will appear after initiating battle mode.

Start Mining

After choosing the color of the Ore that player should like to acquire, click on the [start mining] icon.

All the Ores that are acquired from mining activites will be automatically stored in the inventory. The mining activity will stop once the batty has completely depleted or the inventory has been filled to full capacity.

Players only can mining ores around 5 hours after CHIP WAR STATUS BUFF appeared. The holystone keeper will become neutral state and kill all races until the next chip war start.

AFTER MINING?

There are 5 different colors ores that can be mined (blue, red, yellow, green, and black) and these Ores are categorized into different stages (+1, +2, and +3). The user can capitalize greatly depending on the different stages of the Ore. Also, with payment race money (CP for Accretia, Dalant for Bellato and Disena for Cora), these Ores can be processed for item upgrade/creation or be sold for game money through mined resources merchants.

TO PROCESS the ORES?

Processing the Ores can only be done by mined resources merchants. The items that are going to be processed can be completed if the probabilities of completion are favorable to the user.

01 | SELECT ORES

The processing interface will appear from choosing the process items icon when conversing with the mined resources merchant. Place the Ores in the empty slots in the interface to begin processing.

TAKE A MOMENT! some quick tips
The process can be undertake 200 ores of the same color, and when processing, a user can choose all these Ores by pressing on the shift key while clicking on the Ore.

02 | PROCESSING

The Ore will be processed after clicking the [Processing] button. However, when processing, a fee will be charged to the user (these fees are different per tax imposed in the game). The entire items that are successfully processed will appear in the lower end of the interface.

03 | DISPOSING PROCESSED ITEMS

When clicking on the items that the user needs from the processing interface, the items will automatically transfer to their personal inventory. All the processed items that are unwanted will be disposed when the user clicks on the [Disposal] button. When disposes an item, player will be rewarded with gold.

TAKE A MOMENT! some quick tips
When clicking on the [dispose] button, please make sure if the items are truly unwanted. Important items such as T1 T2 T3 Jewelry, Talic, Red Stone, holystone pieces should be keep in the inventory by clicking the item.

Processed Ore

The following are the items that are needed for creating new items.

Blue ores are used for processing Staff Weapons, and Gloves (Armor)

The processed items such as : Fetalium, Cotalrio, Baytalrous, Crotalian are useful to crafting Weapons, and Armors.

Talic

Talic are useful to upgrading Weapons, Armors, and Booster. Talics can be made randomly through processing Ores and there are 14 different kinds of Talics in RF Online. Each 14 kind of Talic can be used for different purposes and each item can be upgraded through insering it into the item sockets.

Jewels

It can be made randomly through processing Ores and there are 12 different kinds of Jewels in RF Online. Jewels are used to upgrade high level items to insure the success of the upgrades (increase the probabilities). The value of Jewels is set at minimal amount, normal amount, and heavy amount. The jewels are inserted along with the Talics when upgrading.
