RF Online’s PvP/RvR is a user’s endeavor to ensure the survival of race.
Although your victory will not guarantee the survival of your race, winning the race war will grant your survival and victory. There are two kinds of War in RF Online, first is a RvR that be held in the hunting or neutral territories and second, will be a Regulation-System-Warfare (Chip War) where each race will battle three times a day per regions.
Chip Wars is a massive Race vs Race war that occurs three times a day (8:00, 14:00, and 22:00 PDT). All three races – Bellato, Cora, and Accretia – battle for controlling the Holystone Keeper and mining rights.
In order to enter Chip Wars, you must be at least level 30. Chip wars take place at Crag Mine. You can enter the Crag Mine map through the portal at your race’s HQ. Each race has a control chip. Your race is responsible to keep their chip safe and to destroy another race’s chip. The race that destroys another race’s control first will gain mining rights and buffs for their whole race. The two losing races will not be able to mine for a next mining session, their whole race will be affected by a debuff.
Each Chip War usually lasts anywhere from fifteen minutes to two hours. Make sure you listen to your Race Leader and the archon for strategies and directions for bring home victory.
Chip Wars Quest
The Chip Wars Quest will be given to any character that is level 40 or higher during the start of each Chip War. A clock will show up on the bottom right corner of your interface and will countdown to when Chip Wars will start. After the war starts, the clock will start ticking, signalling the amount of time left to destroy a Control Chip.
Starting the quest for Regulation-System-Warfare
To complete the quest for Regulation-System-Warfare, there are two requirements that need to be fulfilled.
- Acquiring Regulation Equipment (winning)
Each race is granted with regulation equipment, destroying other race’s equipment will bring victory. To prevent such events from occurring effortless, each regulation equipment is guarded by monsters to guard each races nearby portals and crystals.
2. Acquiring The Holymental Scanner
An item that is dropped by the guardmob (also called Crymob) that is near the each race’s regulation equipment. Since the item can only be dropped when the regulation equipment appears in the game, there are no ways for a user to acquire this item through means of trade.
If a user did not acquire the Holymental Scanners, player cannot undergo mining activities even if they won the battle.
Race Monsters (Guardian)
Race Monsters stand guard near each race’s portal and Control Chip. They are only friendly towards their same race and will attack other races. Players will lose EXP if they kill any of their own race’s Race Monsters. They will not, however, loser EXP when killed by these monsters.
Guard monsters are placed adjacent to regulation system, and Portals. They are only friendly towards their same race and are enemies to other races. Since they are extremely powerful, be aware of these monsters on the battlefields. The user will be penalized, with losing experience points, when killing the guard monsters that are adjacent to the portals, so be aware (However, the user will not lose experience points when killed by the guard monsters).
Although these guardians have low health, they are extremely powerful. Try to bring some of the opposing race’s monsters down, for they will drop Holy Mental Scanners. Holy Mental Scanners will show you the location of each person on the current map you are on, which is extremely useful during Chip Wars.

Last Hit
Once you are take the last hit of Enemies Chip Controller, your status will become “Chip Brearer / Chip Breaker (CB)”. You must go to the center of Crag Mine with 10 minutes span and make a goal.
With being CB, you will get some benefits:
- You and your guild have green CB Aura until HSK
- CB Aura increase ATK and Defense.
Defend HSK
Powerless HSK (HolyStone Keeper) will appear after 10 minutes span. All races except race winner can hit or kill this HSK.
The Race winner must defend HSK until the Powerless HSK become the Holy Stone Keeper, the guardian boss of center crag mine.
If Powerless HSK is killed, the race winner can’t mine ores in Crag Mine, and the counter of ores deposit increased by 1.
