Chip Wars

Chip Wars is a massive Race vs Race war that occurs three times a day (8:00, 14:00, and 22:00 PDT). All three races – Bellato, Cora, and Accretia – battle for controlling the Holystone Keeper and mining rights.

In order to enter Chip Wars, you must be at least level 30. Chip wars take place at Crag Mine. You can enter the Crag Mine map through the portal at your race’s HQ. Each race has a control chip. Your race is responsible to keep their chip safe and to destroy another race’s chip. The race that destroys another race’s control first will gain mining rights and buffs for their whole race. The two losing races will not be able to mine for a next mining session, their whole race will be affected by a debuff.

Each Chip War usually lasts anywhere from fifteen minutes to two hours. Make sure you listen to your Race Leader and the archon for strategies and directions for bring home victory.

Chip Wars Quest

The Chip Wars Quest will be given to any character that is level 40 or higher during the start of each Chip War. A clock will show up on the bottom right corner of your interface and will countdown to when Chip Wars will start. After the war starts, the clock will start ticking, signalling the amount of time left to destroy a Control Chip.

Race Monsters

Race Monsters stand guard near each race’s portal and Control Chip. They are only friendly towards their same race and will attack other races. Players will lose EXP if they kill any of their own race’s Race Monsters. They will not, however, loser EXP when killed by these monsters.

Although these guardians have low health, they are extremely powerful. Try to bring some of the opposing race’s monsters down, for they will drop Holy Mental Scanners. Holy Mental Scanners will show you the location of each person on the current map you are on, which is extremely useful during Chip Wars.

Battle Dungeon

What is Battle Dungeon in RF Online
Battle Dungeon is another world where a user can enter through different gates. This means, it is a battlefield than the ones at the Planet Novus. This is a place of uncertainty where there lies many creatures that is unseen by many eyes. Battle Dungeon will bring new adventures to who desires it.

BATTLE DUNGEON, a WORLD of UNKNOWN

HOW DO USERS ACCESS BATTLE DUNGEON?

Battle Dungeon can be accessed through gateways, which teleports users to the Dungeon. For unknown reasons, the gateway is consisted with monsters that appear identical to the ones inhibiting in Planet Novus. Although they might share the same looks, these monsters have different skills and characteristics that a user might see in Planet Novus. Possibly, these phenomenons might have been caused by Ackain Virus.

HOW MANY GATEWAYS ARE THERE?

There is no specific information on how many gateways currently exist, however it is known that more gateways have been appearing lately. This will cause nothing but harm to the three races. Rumors have been spreading between Unions, the Alliance, and the Imperial forces, in the Planet Novus., that the gateways are being created by someone (or something) who is hostile towards all life forms in the planet. Be aware that the only person that can explore the depths of this problem lies in the hands of the warriors in Planet Novus.

WHO EXISTS IN BATTLE DUNGEON

Monsters, that exist in Battle Dungeon, are “Brutal”, “Lazhuardian”, and “Lazhuardian warriors”. These monsters are have an incomparably stronger than preexisting monsters that has been seen on Planet Novus. Also these monsters have a tendency to attack in a large group, hence bear in mind that a user can be outnumbered 1:100.

WHAT KIND OF BATTLE DUNGEONS ARE THERE?

There are three types of Battle Dungeons. First is the normal Battle Dungeon where the user receives missions along with briefings that explain the objectvies. Second is the boss fight Battle Dungeon where the user has to eliminate a given target (usually a strong boss). Third is the dark hole Battle Dungeon where the user is given various clues, like puzzles, to solve problems. With new kind of battle systems, users can enjoy a challenging tale of battles.

LETS GO into the BATTLE DUNGEON!

Battle Dungeon missions are held in another dimension that is not in Planet Novus. Battle Dungeon is truly new adventure since it is a game inside another game.

01 | SET GATEWAY

To go into the Battle Dungeon, the user must acquire the Battle Dungeon Gateway. The gateway can be obtained through monster hunting activities and buy directly from GATEKEEPER shop. When obtained, gateway can be open in “Create Dungeon Gate” menu.

02 | ENTRANCE to BATTLE DUNGEON

The Gateway can only last for 30 minutes, hence users must haste before it closes again. The mission briefing will appear once the user has infiltrated into Battle Dungeon.

03 | MISSION RESULT

The result of the missions can be found in briefings, or through the mission process status icon on the right-middle section. The user (and his party) must act quickly to finish the missions since Battle Dungeon has a time limit. If the mission was not completed within the time limit, there will not be any rewards regardless of the outcome. When the mission has ended, another gateway will appear to teleport the user back to Planet Novus.

Archons

Archon SystemWith one sole mind for the race, we will become legendary for we are together!

Patriarchs in RF Online
Generally known as the “head of a tribe”, patriarchs are the leaders of each race (Bellato, Cora, Accretia) in RF Online.
Thus., patriarchs stand at the tips of and at the axis between the three races.

WHAT IS ARCHON?

HOW TO BECOME a PATRIARCH

Patriarchs, who are the leaders of each race, are elected through the most civilized and democratic means of “voting”. Players coming in from 2nd to 5th in the election are named as low rank patriarchs and will have the same rights as the patriarchs/low rank patriarchs for one week.

Order of voting

Patriarch candidates must be players within the rank of 30 in the race rank and the voting take place from 6PM on Saturday to 10PM on Sunday.

01 | CANDIDATE REGISTRATION

Players who wish to run as candidate for patriarch election must register with the race manager NPC of each race by using the [Patriarch Candidacy] function. (06:00~19.00 every Sunday)

TAKE A MOMENT – some quick tips:
Candidates for the primary registration are required to be players inside the top 400 in the race rank and former patriarchs are registered automatically. (The patriarch registration fee is not redeemable even when a candidate is pushed out of the final election.)

Also, former patriarchs do not need to register for they are automatically advanced to the final election.

02 | VOTE COMMENCEMENT

A total of eight players, including the top seven users in the primary registration and the former patriarch, are named the final candidates. Voting begins at 20.00 Sunday and lasts until 22:00. The vote interface will appear on the top right corner. (20:00~22:00 every Sunday)

TAKE A MOMENT – some quick tips:
Every character is allowed to vote only once. Users must have had their primary job promotions in order to be able to vote and their ballots weight differently according to their levels and ranks. (A higher ranked player’s vote will weigh more)

03 | CLOSURE

The voting closes at 22:00 and results are announced immediately. The user with the most votes is named the patriarch and players who came in from 2nd to 5th are named low rank patriarchs.

04 | GRANT RIGHTS

All patriarch rights are granted to the newly elected patriarch effective 00:00 on Monday, which lasts until 00:00 on Monday of the following week.

TAKE A MOMENT – some quick tips:
There are many rights to a patriarch.
Don’t forget that these rights should be used in favor of the race.

ROLES of a PATRIARCH

The patriarch of each race must have pride in its race and become the leader. He must command his armies to victory in the three-per-day chip war battles (formerly crystal battles) and manage all matters related to the race. Also, since he is eligible to speak with patriarchs of other races, he must find ways to settle disputes and deal with alliances.

PATRIARCH RIGHTS

There are many rights a patriarch can make use of. These rights are as follows.

Granted to patriarchsGranted to patriarchs/low rank patriarchs
Patriarchs effects/increased defense advantageBattle reward kill points
Right to race votingRight to race chat
Right to patriarch commandRight to inter-race chat
Patriarch reward itemSee remaining HP of control chips
Right to patriarch greeting

IMPLICATIONS of PATRIARCH RIGHTS

Players in the patriarch position are bound to pursue greed due to so many privileges and advantages that they can enjoy.

However, means to an objective may never be justrified. The image of a true patriarch is someone who promotes fair playing, competition, and collaboration in order to take step by step in accomplishing an objective.

Once again, you must remember that these rights are the outcome of the sacrifice done by the race members. Thus, these rights must be used in the interest of the prosperity of the race and not for the individual.

EXPLANATION OF THE AUTHORITY

GRANT PATRIARCH EFFECTS / INCREASED DEFENSE ADVANTAGES

Patriarchs are responsible for conducting their armies when confronted by other races. As a subsequence, they are always the enemy’s primary targets. Patriarchs are granted special bonuses such as unique effects and increased defense to empower pride above other players because they fight under riskier circumstances.

RACE VOTING RIGHT

They have the right to vote so that they can suggest crucial proposals to race members. With this, they are able to objectively hear what other race members have to say. Vote have the option to choose from agree/disagree.

Usage

BATTLE REWARD KILL POINTS

Victory in the control chip battle is directly related to the prosperity of that race. Being victorious in this battle sets an opportunity for the race to gain an edge over the others. Reward kill points are awarded to patriarchs and low rank patriarchs who commanded the battle. Kill points can be converted to the monetary units each race through the “Race Manager” of each race.

SEE THE REMAINING HP of CRYSTAL CONTROL CHIP of ALL RACES.

PATRIARCH GREETING ANNOUNCEMENT RIGHT

Patriarchs have the right to write partriarch’s announcements (greetings), which are read by the players in that race upon connection.
