R3 Engine

The R3 engine (R3 Technology TM) was developed at CCR itself and is optimized for online RPG games from the design. It is superior in performance, function, and use compared to 3D MMORPG which partially remodeled foreign FPS game engines such as Unreal, Quake Engine.

Expression of wide space became possible by reinterpreting and approaching the BSP structure which was appropriate for indoors that was used in the Quake engine or other foreign engines but not for outdoors. The world and characters can be managed through quick, simple structures both indoors and outdoors.
The Multi layered Materials System enables dynamic expression on the map based on BSP. Very dynamic, various expressions are created from technologies including Skybox that supports beautiful, extensive expressions, vertex shade for high quality features, Pixel shade, Volumetric effects for brilliant special effects, Enhanced Particle System, Dynamic Light, and a weather system. This makes an appeal as an exciting game to users.

The R3 engine shows high quality, high frames not only to high-feature users but also to low-feature graphic cards (Geforce 2 MX, Radeon 7500). (A high frame rate is shown even in the thick forest (P-III 550,Geforce2MX 32M)

Since the basic structure was set based on the chip set of the next generation which supports TnL from early designs, the present Geforce-FX, Radeon-9800 shows the best quality and performance. R3-Engine2.0 is currently under operation. Faster speed and higher quality are planned to be presented in Geforce-fx, Radeon-9800, and the 3D card that will be released in the future. Keep your expectations high!

Speed is one of the strongest functions of R3 engine. 20 million polygons can be managed per second at maximum. The game would not affect the number of polygons in the background. However, the speed is not slowed down at all, although brilliant effects cover the screen from background+character+effects and other dynamic factors based on fast speed which made the most of the acceleration functions of 3D hardware. This speed will support the genuinely large-scaled RF battle of planets.

About RF Online

1. What is RF Online?

RF Online, originally named ‘Rising Force’, (Korean: RF온라인) is a 3D MMORPG developed by CCR. The first version of the game was released in South Korea and was later followed by Chinese (Mandarin), Japanese, Indonesian, Portuguese and English translations. The North American/European version of the game launched its retail phase on February 21, 2006. A mixture of science fiction and classic fantasy, RF Online is set in a distant planet in the Novus system where magic exists alongside high technology. Like most MMORPGs, it follows the typical fantasy setting complete with swords and sorcery, but it also emphasizes the three-way Race vs. Race vs. Race (RvR) concept and modern/futuristic technology such as mecha and nuclear weapons.

The NA/EU game service was brought down as of November 9, 2008, due to licence expiration. However, the developers, CCR have started to relaunch the game hosting it themselves for NA/EU. In August 2012, RF Online was confirmed to relaunch stateside via the publisher GamesCampus. RFO is a free-to-play game. RF Online version 1.5 launched via the publisher GamesCampus Europe in April 2013. RF Online version 1.5 launched via the publisher GamesCampus Europe in January 2015.

On June 2006, CCR recently joined a Japanese service company.currently being serviced locally through SEGA. It was announced that a Japanese package has been released. The RF Online package sold this time is , priced at 2,800 yen (approximately 20,000 Korean Won). You can run the game inside the package. Game Installation Guide, Includes Client DVD, New 45-day free serial code for account, game image song β€˜More’ Contains β€˜THE FORCE OF LOVE’ Includes 1 premium single CD. Seok-ho Yoon, CEO of CCR, said, β€œThis RF online package was launched. Direct sales revenue can be expected from each sale, but that Natural promotional marketing by expanding the game base β€œWe plan to focus more on chatting,” he said.

On July 2007, CCR recently launched a Brazilian game company Bellup Interactive and its SF 3D RPG game signed an export contract to Brazil. Level Up Interactive is a leading gaming company in the Philippines.
was released locally at Level Up’s Brazilian branch. A company that provides services. Brazil in. The service is scheduled to take place in the second half of this year. Following the signing of this contract, CCR will carry out localization work and You will be responsible for all technical matters such as dating, and Up Interactive is Brazil’s marketing and service provider has the authority to operate the business and create secondary works.

CCR CEO Yoon Seok-ho said, β€œ<RF Online> is a South American This is the first time entering the station, first of all Porto β€œWe chose Brazil, which uses the Gal language, as our first country to enter.” He said, β€œIn the second half of the year, Spanish-speaking countries in Mexico, Chile, etc. Yongha plans to further advance into the rest of South America.”

He said, with this export to Brazil, has expanded to Europe. 28 countries, including the United States, Japan, China, Taiwan, and the Philippines. We have expanded into 34 countries around the world.

On April 18, 2016, it was revealed CCR filed a trademark for “RF 2”, and listing it as a β€œdownloadable software” for various platforms, including virtual reality.

In November 2017, Playpark a subsidiary of Asiasoft announced that they will relaunch the game in the Philippines.

Playpark RF Online is currently owned by RebellionGamingInc.

In September 2020, Netmarble acquires the rights for RF Online and announced the Mobile Game Version development will be started in short time [2]

2. Gameplay

As with many MMORPGs, the player will select one race and fight monsters to gain experience points. RFO is populated with many different monsters across many areas. At the start of the game, a character will be led through an in-game guide of the basic commands for the game. From there, the character will be exposed to a series of quests which will familiarize him/her with their character’s headquarters. As the character progresses in level, his/her quests may take them out to aggressive maps, where he/she will be exposed to the player killing Features of the game. One quest given in the Sette Desert on low levels makes players aware of constant presence and danger of enemy races.

Political Factions

There are 3 character races which the player can choose: Bellato Union, Holy Alliance Cora, and Accretian Empire. Each having a unique race specialty. Every race has their own special subclasses of characters to play based on warrior, ranger, specialist and each race’s special classes. The Accretian Empire relies heavily on technology, so they lack access to magic. The Holy Alliance of Cora uses both magic and technology, but relies more on offensive magic. The Bellato Union uses both magic and technology but relies more on technology for offense and uses magic more on support. Class advancements become available at level 30 and 40. It is also possible to cross-class a character within the races for a wide variety of options

Economy

The game’s economy can be divided into two parts-production and consumption. The mine is a new field where resources are produced as a part of and in support of economic activity. Mining for minerals and processing the products of these produce many kinds of items. These form the basis for conflict within the mines.

Chip War

The battle for resources is actualized in an all-out war among the three races, termed as Chip War. Chip War happens three times in a day (every 8 hours), where the winning race obtains the right to control the guardian of the mines β€” the dreaded Holystone Keeper. The war is led by the respective racial leaders called Archon, whose goal is to break at least one control chip owned by the opposing race.

3. Race vs Race (RvR)

RF Online is a game centered on RvR.

style tribal warfare, with three races consisting of Bellato, Accretia, and Cora engaged in a mutually exclusive war. The racial fields are separated, and battles are possible in all areas except for instant dungeons called some gates, the land of beasts that can be entered from the 2nd concession area of each race (Anakade, Numerus, and 117 areas), and the first floor of the training center. The largest RvR involves entering a mine existing in the game and fighting for control over the mine

Accretia Empire

3.1 Accretia Empire

Machine race. Race-specific weapons Launcher. Therefore, the race-specific occupation is the Ranger class with launcher skills. For reference, this race seems to have taken its motif from medieval Rome. Phalanx , a heavy infantryman, is included in the class name, and there is also an NPC called “Tribe ‘s Deputy” on the way to the race manager .

Things like rings and earrings have better options than other races. The basic defense of the armor was one level higher than that of other races. If you ignore the skill transfer efficiency. A race with the strongest warrior body.

Although the number of people is small, if the items are good (good quality) and control is ignored, this is a race that can become the most powerful character. In the old server days of Korea, there was a striker character who couldn’t be caught even if a party of Korra Wizards at the same level rushed at him. Rather, it was like a reverse tour.

The race at the center of the item balance controversy. However, it’s a shame because there’s no magic. Instead of magic, a specialist casts a curse with something called Grenade Launcher, and this is causing the biggest controversy.

They either drastically reduce the effectiveness of potions, which is a curse that other races do not have, or they are simply tied up and cannot move. Instead, since they are specialists, they have almost no attack ability, so in a 1:1 situation, there are times when they cannot kill each other. In fact, there is no answer if a large number of Specialist Grenade and Launchers are gathered together rather than armored together. A powerful race that flocks together in small numbers.

β€» Reasons why Accretia’s accessories and armor are better than Cora or Bellato

First of all, the content written previously (below) is slightly different from the truth.

Due to protests from Accretia users in 2007, its defense and opponent’s attack power are at least one level higher than those of Bellato and Cora. This was the first time that the game content was patched after an online game user complained directly to the game company due to an incident that was an issue at the time.

At first, all of Accretia Cora Bellato’s armor was the same, and due to the lack of buffs, only Accretia was balanced with Dual Elementals

As of 2004, at the time of Ove, when there was no concept of top or block, Accretia’s defense was one level higher than Cora or Bellato, including shields. In other words, compared to other races, they were given high defense power as a way to fight against the wizard’s curse.

Of course, at that time, Cure was only present in Accretia, and it was much later that Bellato and Cora were added. With the introduction of the concept of shield defense as a block, the three races came to have the same defense.

Accessories were also included in this balance adjustment, at a time when there was no Pit Boss. Because of this, Elementals was treated as a legend, and even the ring accessories commonly known as Pippup, Bang, Hoa Mul, and Ball 10 rings that increased HP and FP values that sometimes came from mobs were worth tens of millions in game money at the time. Rather, at that time, Pippeng was the center of controversy. In other words, there was controversy about accessories before Elementals, and it only got worse after Elementals came out. In conclusion, CCR made up for Accretia’s lack of force with offensive and defensive numbers.

However, despite this, the supply of accessories was not smooth and the effect was minimal, so it could not be a factor that could change the situation of the war. And at this time, Amulet Detect was also included as a basic option, but due to protests from other races, Detect was deleted. On the other hand, the launcher, which is a racial specialty, only has one level more damage compared to the racial specialization of other races, and there is only one attack skill that can be used as a launcher, so it is of no use in actual combat.

Accretia was nothing more than a meat shield that was busy being toyed with, whether on the field or on the field. Eventually, these Accretia users’ complaints exploded, and Accretia users from all servers gathered on server 1 and even staged a protest by taking off their clothes and charging at the keeper. However, the only thing that came back to Accretia like this was Shizuki. In other words, before, all you had to do was stand and shoot without a siege kit. However, since there was no notarization in Siege Kit at all, I had to experience the humiliation of having my Siege Line broken at once in the first fight after Siege Kit was updated.

Accretia users who were expecting a massive counterattack with the addition of the Siege Kit were hit hard once again. Until the 2nd job change update, when Saint was entering his first Leeds year, Accretia was just a punching bag for Cora and Bellato, with or without an accessory.

In addition to the internal reasons for the game, Accretia’s users were predominantly male by nature (due to its external design), and the number of players was significantly different from Cora and Bellato, which were popular with both men and women, so it had a big impact on the victory or defeat of the Cree game. Unfortunately, the outcome of the dispute was determined by the overwhelming difference in population rather than the balance of each character.

Accordingly, Accretia users once again strongly protested against CCR, and after a long time, specialists were given the current low ammo as a result, which continues to this day.

When it comes to weaknesses as a race, compared to other races, the accuracy rate is seriously low and the buff efficiency is terrible. This is another limitation due to balance adjustments, despite the strength of equipment and accessories due to the absence of the Force.

As a result, Accretia users have become more inclined to make up for their shortcomings with equipment or cash. However, this later resulted in raising the level of each character, creating an irony that literally contributed to building the image of a powerful race even with a small number of characters.

Since the move to Daum, it has continued to be downgraded in many ways. For example, although it is limited to launchers, The range of the Sniper Siege Kit, which had the longest range, was significantly lowered to about half a step ahead of the regular Siege Kit, and the upper elevation of Cora Bellato was raised to reduce the upward difference between accretia, and the Punisher’s magnetic web skill was taken away from other types of attack warriors, Berserker and Templar.

The level 1 grenade launcher, which had been available to all classes from the beginning, was patched for special use only. Compared to other races, the low-level curse itself was taken away, and as a result, Cora and Bellato received indirect increases in accuracy and evasion in the match against Accretia. Additionally, the newly added Ancient Accessory became a dual option for all three races, so dual accessories were no longer exclusive to Accretia.

Bellato Union

3.2 Bellato Union

Hobbit race. Race-specific weapons uses armored weapons. Therefore, the specialized profession for the race is the production specialist… but there are more of them compared to other races, but not as many. However, the problem is that armored weapons are too incompetent compared to the maintenance cost.[13] In the past, if the enemy was holding a shield , only 1 damage was inflicted. But my blood is constantly being drained… I have 100,000 stamina, but I can’t drink potions and my defense is so bad that I die in 10 seconds. In the end, it only amounts to suppressing small-scale terrorist attacks by the enemy. In war, you’re just a target.

However, in the case of a battlefield, victory or defeat is determined by the presence or absence of friendly armor. The armored transport ship that appeared in the video has not yet been released. Even if it does come out, it is meaningless as it will melt in an instant if only the armor is transported.

This race has high evasion (miss). Instead, their attack power is slower than that of other races. If high-level armor gathers in a party (8 people) or more, there is no summoning towel or launcher or anything like that. If you run around with a lot of armor, it’s ridiculously strong.

It is no exaggeration to say that this race’s problem ironically lies largely in its race-specific armor. The patch history of armor has been so frequent that it is difficult to trace its origin to any of the three races.

Starting with the continuous increase in stamina, attack power, repair costs, booster speed, range, etc. have fluctuated. Compared to the 110,000 HP of the initial armor, Goliath’s health increased about three times, and Catapult’s increased by about 1.5 times. Armor that disappeared when destroyed did not disappear, and experience points were also gained, unlike in the past when experience points were not gained while riding the armor. It would have been nice if it had continued to improve like this, but it fell due to two critical patches: the nuclear-related patch and the range & attack power patch.

In the past, even if an armored vehicle was hit by a nuclear weapon, it would not be destroyed if it had full health. It began to be destroyed in one fell swoop with the refine update dated February 1, 2018, which became the culmination of all recent problems. As a result, Bellato suffered a fatal blow to its line-maintenance ability and its prowess in large-scale wars was greatly reduced.

Catapult’s range and damage reduction were done a long time ago during the Episode Part 2 update. Initially, it was patched with a range attack including Goliath, but then a balance patch was carried out to remove Goliath’s range and lower catapult damage & range, resulting in its current appearance. With range attacks, the effectiveness of attacks against hunting or gathered groups was greatly improved, but the problem was attack power and range.

Originally, Cater’s range was longer than that of Siege, Ranger, and Mages when it was a single attack ability. Therefore, by simply adjusting the distance, Cater was able to attack normal long-distance characters from outside the range, and his attack power was also high, so responding in person-to-person combat was not as difficult as it is now. However, after the range and attack power were lowered, they were in a position to be attacked first, and the aftereffects of the 5% reduction in damage resulted in giving the opponent more room for one hit, increasing the opponent’s chance of survival and increasing damage to the armor.

Moreover, the problems with armor did not end there. There is a good reason why armor became the main force. It has been consistently preferred in raids, hunting, and fighting due to its easy-to-raise unit skill and high efficiency at a relatively low cost. However, this soon led to the downfall of other professions.

The mainstays of the party, Shield Miler, Holy Chandra, and dual stun jobs, are not firepower jobs except for Hidden Soldier. In addition, only the basic damage of melee weapons is applied as a percentage to Armor’s Blessing and Penzer Generator, which give additional damage to armor, which ultimately leads to a decrease in the demand for upgraded weapons, resulting in a situation where the weapon supply rate of firepower classes is lower than that of other races. come.

Therefore, Bellato’s firepower became entirely dependent on armor, and other firepower classes had no weapons, continuing a vicious cycle in which their overall power was overwhelmingly weaker than that of other classes of the same class. Another damage caused by armor is the tax rate. The tax rate is entirely related to the use of the store, which affects not only the sales and purchases made in the store, but also mineral processing and currency exchange. There is an additional factor here: Bella is a unit merchant. Since armored operation directly leads to the use of unit merchants, this makes it difficult for Vela to avoid high tax rates as long as armored users are maintained to a certain extent.

Nowadays, because the checks between enemies within the race, that is, guilds, are particularly severe compared to other races, more and more people are quitting the game. It has the smallest population and is a game played for memories, so if you quit, you end up going to another species.

Holy Alliance Cora

3.3 Holy Alliance Cora

Race-specific weapons. Because of the summons, the main occupation is the wizard type. Summoners are powerful, but the Warlock class, which is a pure magic class, also boasts 10,000 damage, and is the main culprit of armor surplus. First of all, since the concept is Elf, it is the most beautiful… Since the switch to partial free play, users have flocked to this side only, and the balance has collapsed. This is because the summons are so strong.

This race has the strongest attack power. The boasted summoned beast is actually not that strong. Rather, Cora is proud of her attack power, and her summons are for hunting purposes only.

Currently, unbalancing is occurring where the character level is 70, but the summon level is only 55. There are predictions that if you put in the effort to raise the summons above 60, you can have two or more level 70 characters. Since then, several patches have been made to the summons, but there has not been much improvement. Another controversial issue of this race is the so-called law code, which is a dual change from a monk to a warrior. Unlike Bellato, who has the same mage, the reason why only Cora has been so controversial is the difference between Dark Force and Holy Force.

As introduced earlier, the Korra race specializes in attacks, and this also applies to Dark Force. The problem is that, unlike Bellato, Dark Force has all the skills that are pure job skills for Bella, such as notarization, accuracy, range, and delay reduction. In addition, the tank’s unique stamina and destruction that pure wizards cannot do can be digested, and the warrior class’ bullseye, digi, and concession are also applied, so crit rate, block ignore, and melee counterattack & evasion are guaranteed, so attack and defense abilities, It has become a job that possesses all three aspects of survival.

Users who have recently accessed the game may be puzzled, but Korra was originally positioned close to Accretia’s counter.\What made it possible was Cora’s ranger job, Adventurer. In the past, the Accretia Siege’s powerful firepower fired from outside the range crushed the Arc’s main firepower, St., and did not allow Speckeric to approach.

However, Adventurer suffers great damage due to Daum’s ridiculous patch, which is the vision diving patch. Anyone who has been playing the game for a long time knows this, but the current field of view is ridiculously short compared to before the diving patch.

In a large-scale fight, you have to be about one or two steps in front of the wide range GM’s range to see the opponent’s character, which adds to the lag in the game, and in severe cases, the character may appear right in front of you. Because of this, Adventurer was unable to utilize its range at all, which was its strength, and Strosser’s weakness in range almost disappeared, leading to Adventurer’s downfall. Without a counter character, Stross became even more active.

4. RF Sunset: 2023

The closure of the Rising Force Online (RF Online) service at RedFox Games (USA), CCR Play (South Korea), Playpark (Philipines) has been announced. Their decision was finalized and the final day of service described below:
