Animus in RF Online

“Other World’s strength is also my ability”

The root of summoning skill, which only the cora race know can be found in the fource they use. In other words, summoning skill is one of force skills. To summon, it starts out by distorting an area, and through that distorted area comes the Animus.

WHAT is ANIMUS?

The Animus and Cora race have an agreement of master and servant relationship. That is, cora race can control Animus as if their servant. Animus has no right to choose their master and should always obey their master at all cost. So the summoners prefer to have an Animus who can fill in their empty space.

Such Animus’s can raise a single but special ability. For example, The Paimon which is a Sword Animus is optimized for close combat. And Cora race call the supreme Animus “Amy Animus” (Amy means fourth dimensional genius).

An Animus gets different names in different stages of growth, and every time their name changes, they also become stronger in both external and internal ways.

Animus Growth Stages : Recruit > Veteran > Master > Amy

TYPES of ANIMUS?

PAIMON

Paimon inherit spirit from the sword. They have brilliant fencing ability, and their sword differs by their competence. What’s more, Animus has the most outstanding combating skills in history, so they were performed as a valuable war material in the war of the Cora race. The greatest sealed sword Animus is called the Sword Animus. Cora race have historically tried to break the seal in order to obtain good swords and armors. The Sword Aminus is called Paimon. Paimon is the bravest of all Animuses, can handle all kinds of swords freely, and shouts to the opponent to frighten them.

[Growth and appearance]

Huge sword, greatly developed upper body is the form of a true masculine knight. They have a special feature of changing swords for different classes.

[Animus’ trait]

Just like their sense of strong appearance, they can treat strong defense as their main weapon. Defending all the attacks with their body to protect their summoner, they can be considered dignified.

[Amy’s attacks]

When the Aminus’ level reaches 50 and become an Amy sealing force will be used periodically.

INANA

The Cora’s call Inanna “Animus of cure” . Inanna’s unique ability is to cure the summoner or anyone with the same race. The first Coras to use Inanna were the ones who felt inconvenient about the holy class at the war of color, but now Inanna belongs to a wide base for all Coras.

[Growth and appearance]

They are bare handed, and bodies covered with robe. Since they bowed their heads too much, only the blonde hair sticks out of the robe. Their sex can’t be defined by the looks, but their body figure and voice informs that it is a female. Inanna is very timid, and has a habit of whirling around the summoner at all times. Their action is small even when there are being casted, and their voice is small.

[Animus’ trait]

Inanna’s job is to protect the summoner, so she cure the summoner’s HP. Their means of sacrifice for their summoner would be the true definition of obedience.

[Amy’s attacks]

When the Aminus level reaches 50 and become an Amy, holy shield will be used periodically.

HECATE

Hecate is an Animus who thoroughly uses flame spirit. They are the fastest learners of force, and are famous for their strong offensive force. The force they use is incomparable with regular humans (Cora or Bellato). The biggest difference between human’s force and Hecate’s force is, that humans rely on their mentality, where Hecate combines both mental and physical abilities.

[Growth and appearance]

With a Marble covered with flame, she has a voluptuous beauty within her body shape. Hecate usually casts meteor class fire force, but never takes effect by fire. Arrogance and pride are the expressions that define her.

[Animus’ trait]

Hecate hits the enemy directly, and when the attack is successful, it leaves the enemy in critical condition. These Animuses are like the saying; “in order to dominate the enemy, seal their movement.”

[Amy’s attacks]

When the Animus level reaches 50 and become an Amy, weakness will be used periodically.

ISIS

When they attack, lightening strikes from the big jewel necklace and hits the target. Isis gives greater damage to highly defended enemies compared to Paimon and Hecate, and their critical rate increases as they grow. Nevertheless, they don’t have any continuous attack.

[Growth and appearance]

Isis has two sided character; passionate and cute face with delicate and charming feminine appearance, but turns into a fearful look when they attack. They carry huge Back Packs and their bodies are fully decorated with jewelry, accessory. They express both mechanical and fantasy feel.

[Animus’ trait]

Isis hits the enemy directly, with features of having stronger attacks. The strong force they carry within them will lead other races into a fearful dilemma.

[Amy’s attacks]

When the Animus’ level reaches 50 and become an Amy, spin a web will be used periodically.

Notes

Just like the force, Animus first stage of existence was Reaver. Animus Reaver is purchasable in Force Stores, and is attached the same way as the Force Liber. To activate the Animus Reaver, Press Animus Information window (U/ CTRL+U) and attach it.

CONTROLLING ANIMUS

Only the First promoted Summoner and Second promoted Grazier can summon/control Animus.

ATTACH ANIMUS REAVER

After pressing the Animus Information window (U/ CTRL+U), right click on the Animus you wish to summon; with an animation effect, it will be summoned. And at the bottom of the character information window, there will be an Animus interface mark. In order to remove summon, right click on the Animus icon shown at the Animus information window just like when you activate summon.

TAKE A MOMENT! Some quick tips
Animus Reaver can be traded between users. If you buy a high level Animus, stronger power will be released.

SUMMON ANIMUS

After pressing the Animus Information window (U/ CTRL+U), right click on the Animus you wish to summon; with an animation effect, it will be summoned. And at the bottom of the character information window, there will be an Animus interface mark. In order to remove summon, right click on the Animus icon shown at the Animus information window just like when you activate summon.

CONTROL ANIMUS

Below the character status window, the Animus status window will take place, and if you put mouse over at the Command, the Animus control menu will appear

• Attack the targeted opponent.
  Attacks the currently targeted monster or other race.
• Attack: Attacks the opponent which the player is attacking. When the character moves to another place, the Animus follows automatically.
• Move : The character moves along the traces without tracking.

TAKE A MOMENT! Some quick tips
Animus HP and FP cannot be recharged in the field while they are summoned, so you have to remove summon and let them recover. Animus is another dimensional life, thus instead of dying, it will be counted as being removed. If you wish to summon again, you will have to wait the penalty delay.

WANT to MANAGE STRONGER SUMMONS?

At the point where you get the First promotion of summoner, the single class (=pure class) and dual class will have equivalent abilities. But when you get a class skill on the Second promotion to Glazier, the exclusive strength you gain will be incomparable to the previous summoners.

• Animus Rest
  Allows the Animuses, who have been sealed in the force river, to take a long break.
• Fast Recall
  Concentrates on one’s force to enable continous summoning.
• Maximum Summon
  Concentrates one’s force at Animus, and allows the Animus to show its true power.

Guard Tower in RF Online

Guard tower is a tower that can protect its maker from the threat of monsters, or other races, or even its own races. To be able to make a guard tower, you must meet the following requirements:

SET GUARD TOWER REQUIREMENT

To begin set guard tower, you need to become a class:

BUILDING GUARD TOWER

After meeting these requirements, you can make a guard tower by right-clicking the mouse button on your guard tower item. Then wait a few moments until the guard tower is complete and your guard tower is ready to use. In the middle time when you build a guard tower, text will appear in the middle of the screen (red) or in the message system as shown below.

GUARD TOWER ATTACK RANGE

Guard tower has its own attack range, you can see the Guard Tower’s Attack Range in the game : moving yellow-dot.

You can only place 1 guard tower in the guard tower attack range. So if you need to build another guard tower, you must build it outside the moving yellow dot.

The guard tower will attack other races within the range of the guard tower automatically.

You can instruct the guard tower to attacking monsters or other races with weapons.

You can also fight your own race with a guard tower by using Chaos potions and directing attacks at your own race that you want to fight.

MAX GUARD TOWER BUILD

As a pure class Engineer / Craftsman (the only class which can build a guard tower), you can only build guard tower:
